Greetings Cooperators, SAVE THE DATE - May 17 - 21, 2010, Madison, Wisconsin CooperationWorks! is pleased to present Session Two of the three-part training program on starting new cooperatives enterprises: The Art & Science of Cooperative Business DevelopmentSession Two: Practitioners as Facilitators for Emerging Cooperative BusinessesMay 17 - 21, 2010Madison, Wisconsin The five-day intensive training will address the critical steps to start a new co-op enterprise, with special emphasis on feasibility analysis, business planning, legal models, capitalization & finance and working effectively with groups. The program will include lectures, interactive sessions, case study analysis of existing co-ops and tours to local co-ops to talk directly with co-op stakeholders about the development process. The program, held on the Madison campus of the University of Wisconsin, will begin at 8:00 AM on Monday, May 17 and end at noon of Friday, May 21. This is an extraordinary opportunity for new practitioners, and those interested in starting new cooperatives, to learn from some of the most experienced developers in the country and the best of what we have learned about starting effective new cooperative enterprises.
