Everything they grow is certified organic by Ecocert Canada following Quebec and Canadian organic standards.

La Tierra Co-op, located in Gatineau (Québec) and Ottawa (Ontario), roasts and distributes gourmet coffees from our partner indigenous peasant cooperatives. We assist them in developing and growing their coops under a 100% fair trade model, only paying above fair trade for our coffee.

Nor' West Co-op Community Health Centre has served the Inkster community northwest Winnipeg since 1972. Nor' West is a forerunner in taking multi-service, holistic, team approach to health care. They provide a wide range of health related services including medical care, counseling, education and community outreach. Nor' West is the only non-profit community based health care agency in the Inkster area. Nor' West recognizes the effect that life style, access to resources and income have oh the health of individuals and families. They work with the community to create safer and healthier neighbourhoods for children and families.

Planet Bean began roasting coffee in downtown Guelph in 1997. Planet Bean has two coffee bars serving all kinds of excellent coffee beverages created by our highly skilled team of baristas. The Rudolf Rocker Cultural Centre was founded in 2007, and operates out of the Old Market Autonomous Zone (A-Zone) in Winnipeg. Named after the German anarchist Rudolf Rocker, who fled Nazi Germany in 1933, and who lectured widely in North America (including dozens of talks in Winnipeg between 1913 and his death in 1958), “the Rocker” functions as both a gallery and multi-purpose venue for social, political, and cultural events of interest to the anarchist, activist, and wider Winnipeg community.

Urban Eatin’ Gardeners’ Worker Co-op is a small group of gardeners committed to using organic and holistic techniques to build and maintain vegetable and culinary gardens for Winnipeg’s private residences and public facilities. We have been trained with various techniques of light footprint, integrated gardening and permaculture principles. We offer to help make your yard a place of beauty, food, and comfort by enabling people to grow their own vegetables, fruits, herbs and edible garden spaces through consultations, workshops and hands-on learning.

Activities include a weekly farmers market, community cannery, community food programming and the development of community owned store. The co-op combines the creation of new markets that link producers, food artisans and consumers with community-based job creation and community food programming and education.
