UPDATE, as of December 2011 : for the International Year of Co-operatives (IYC) activities in Alberta, this site is no longer being actively used to generate and choose ideas.  Instead, ideas which have been gathered through this site and meetings in the summer of 2011 have been chosen and are being implemented by the Alberta Community and Co-operative Association.  See their IYC page here:  http://acca.coop/alberta-co-op-cafe/, or else the Facebook page.  However, you can feel free to browse this site, which is now essentially in archive format, for ideas that your co-op or credit union might want to run with!  For more information, contact Sarah Arthurs. at iyc (at) acca.coop.

This has been a space, both online and off line, for meeting other people who are excited about the possibilities of the International Year of Cooperatives ("IYC"). Through this site, our Facebook page and live gatherings, it will be possible for you to connect with Co-op and Credit Union members and staff as well as representatives of other organizations to discover shared visions and possible partnerships.  To share your ideas, click on "Submit New Idea" (in the top right) to go to our IdeaScale page, or visit Process, for more details.  Please use the Facebook page to contact possible partners or connect through Sarah Arthurs, the Coordinator of this project (the “Engagement Coordinator”): sarah.arthurs (at) prairiesky.ab.ca. 
 
This is a space for sharing ideas.
